Dale Speicher presents an evening of works from the last 40 years for solo percussion: Basic Ten by Robert Ashley for solo snare drum, The King of Denmark by Morton Feldman, Delusions of Grandeur by Charles Lipp, A Slightly Evil Machine by James Romig (Washington premiere), Links by Stuart Saunders Smith, Pairs by Christian Wolff, and Rebonds by Iannis Xenakis.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
