The final concert in Earshot’s Jazz: The 2nd Century series features Monktail Creative Music Concern’s rambunctious offshoot Reptet, manifesting the zany spirit (and killer chops) of Amsterdam’s ICP Orchestra, and the voracious Balkan/Indian/whatever-inflected Ziggurat Ensemble, comprised of pianist Bill Anschell, saxophonist Eric Barber, bassist Doug Miller, and drummer Byron Vannoy.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center: contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
