The Seattle Composers’ Salon is a semi-monthly, informal presentation of new music by Seattle composers. The salon features finished works, previews, and works-in-progress, and brings together composers, performers and audience members in a casual setting that allows for discussion and experimentation. This special salon includes the premiere of a new duo by Eric Flesher, winner of the 2nd Seattle Composers’ Salon Commissioning Project. Also, percussion duos by Tom Baker and Jesse Canterbury, performed by Dale Speicher, Greg Campbell, and Ben Thomas.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
