Falzone / Miller / Whiting CANCELLED

WE ARE SORRY TO REPORT THAT DUE TO PUBLIC HEALTH CONCERNS REGARDING THE COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS, THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

After performing together in multiple configurations over the years, 3 of the Pacific Northwest’s most intrepid improvisers – Vancouver pianist Lisa Cay Miller, Seattle percussionist Bonnie Whiting, and Seattle clarinetist James Falzone – come together for a night of improvised solos, duos, and trios.

“If the new improvisational movement means to convey the spirit of jazz without reiterating its stylistic clichés, then Vancouver-based pianist Lisa Miller deserves to be considered one of its leading lights.”
– J.D. Considine, The Globe and Mail

“As a fidgety political journalist with the attention span of a fruit fly, I would ordinarily have been happy with a show half as long, but Whiting’s stellar performance kept me mesmerized.” – Erica Barnett, PubliCola, (Seattle alternative news source)

“One of the top genre-crossing reedmen in the country, Falzone’s expertise and curiosity allow him to stretch from traditional to modern in both classical music and jazz, with forays into folk and liturgical music as well. Some artists like to blast through the walls that separate genres. Falzone turns them into putty and lets each side seep through to the other.” Neil Tesser, Examiner
