An eclectic and entertaining evening of music led by pianist Amy Rubin, featuring Danny Godinez, guitar; Thane Lewis, viola; Trevor Lutzenhiser, violin; Craig Rine, clarinet; Julian Schwarz, cello; Hope Wechkin, voice; Matthew Weiss, violin; and others playing pieces from the “classical”, jazz, music theater, and tango repertoire, including works by Kurt Weill, Bach, Mozart, Danny Godinez, Hope Wechkin, Amy Rubin, Astor Piazzolla, Egberto Gismonti, and others. Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
