pincushioned is the Arizona-based duo Barry Moon (Baz) and Doug Nottingham (Dug). Since 2007 they have been working from a remote/suburban desert bunker melding digital sounds and images with their analog counterparts – beating drums, destroying guitars, spinning dials, sliding faders, writing software, building instruments and projecting bizarre imagery. They go beyond post-modernism and into pre-“whatever”, creating an abstract body of interactive millennial media art. Presented by Nonsequitur.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
