Ritual Vibrations will be an evening of music, movement, poetry and performance art in three acts:
Rivka Clifton will start the evening by mixing pre-recorded and live elements to create an atmospheric soundscape featuring synth drones, modulated bass, and several poems from her forthcoming book, “Wrong Feast.”
This will be followed by a collaboration between Heather Bentley, Giordana Falzone, and Marissa Niederhauser, who will offer a set combining their improvisational practices in music and dance.
Finally, Lady Zade will take the stage with her spiritual coven to deliver a glimpse into a very personal world of ritual magic. She will premier her original work for voice, viola da gamba, and percussion, featuring Aaron Michael Butler, while spinning a spell of abstraction through performance art in between the two halves of the piece. This will be a prayer of warmth, mystery and openness, and will feature a 10-minute portion of ritualistic self-scarification.
Doors open at 7 PM.
