Presented by Elevator Bath. Matt Shoemaker manipulates sound sourced from both natural and electronic means in an affected and often grotesque manner, so as to convey compositions that uniquely imagine a space encrypted to the point of vanishing definition. Adam Pacione is a Ft. Worth-based sound artist who’s work primarily falls within the ambient/drone genre. Colin Andrew Sheffield focuses on the strict re-contextualization of commercially available recordings, distilling the essential qualities of these works for use in new compositions.
About
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics. Watch a video clip about us on the Seattle Channel.
