The Westerlies present music from their debut album Wish The Children Would Come on Home: The music of Wayne Horvitz. Hailed by Nate Chinen (NY Times, JazzTimes) as “One of the more remarkable albums to cross my path this spring….an impressive feat from almost any angle,” this Seattle-bred, New York -based brass quartet interprets chamber pieces, jazz tunes, and film music composed by one of America s most engaging genre-bending artists.
About
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
