The Three Duos are, first of all, Ronin with Kenny Mandell on saxes, flutes, and percussion and Don Berman on drums and percussion. The second duo will feature percussionist, composer, and instrument builder Paul Kikuchi along with Steve Barsotti, an improviser, sound artist and educator who has been creating works for over twenty years. The third duo is the dynamic combination of drummer Gregg Keplinger and guitarist Simon Hennaman.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
