From Calcutta, Pandit Chatterjee is a distinguished name among Indian musicians as an outstanding sitarist and a highly regarded teacher of Indian Classical Music. He is widely respected for his devotion to music and his control over the Ragas with systematic exploration which has placed him among the top instrumentalists of his era. He performs with outstanding Seattle-based saxophonist Neil Welch, of the duo Bad Luck. Presented by Earshot Jazz Festival.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center: contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
