Subtext: Kathleen Fraser & Crystal Curry

Subtext Reading Series presents: Kathleen Fraser is the author of over 20 books of poetry and the critical book Translating the Unspeakable: Poetry and the Innovative Necessity. She is the publisher of two journals devoted to the interface between critical scholarship and experimental writing: How(ever) and its electronic sequel HOW2. She founded the American Poetry Archives at San Francisco State University, where she is emeritus. She has received two NEA awards and a Guggenheim. Her recent books are h idde violeth i dde violet, Discrete Categories Forced Into Coupling, and Witness. Crystal Curry lives in Seattle. A graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, her poems have appeared in the Denver Quarterly, The Tiny, The Hat, Verse, Conduit, The Bedazzler, and other journals.
