Beetlebox is an experimental composer, keyboardist, and solo artist based in Seattle who creates original, piano-centered electronic music. His intricate control at the keys triggers a plethora of intertwined acoustic and computer-generated sounds. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of different genres, his music has featured everything from dubstep synthesizers and pop-single samples to orchestral instrumentations and Indian temple rhythms. Beetlebox has carved out a niche somewhere between beautiful and strange, and consistently forges a unique and engaging experience for his audience.
About
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics. Watch a video clip about us on the Seattle Channel.
