World-renowned saxophonist/composer and Seattle native Andrew D’Angelo has undergone two surgeries for brain cancer, and has a long road of chemo and radiation treatment ahead. A fund has been established to help with his medical expenses. Donations can be sent via PayPal at firstname.lastname@example.org. This benefit concert features Bill Frisell, Cuong Vu, Robin Holcomb, Wayne Horvitz, Eyvind Kang, Greg Sinibaldi, and the Speak Quartet.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
