Composer and improviser Dave Knott presents a set of his Sweet Little Guitar Ditties, a collection of solo fingerstyle nylon string guitar miniatures that have evolved as part of his work with critically ill and injured adults and children. The second set comes with an invitation to participate in co-creating group pieces using Knott’s unique handmade instruments and natural objects.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
