1:11:11 is an evening of Works In Process. Composer and multi-instrumentalist Gretta Harley is questioning the relationship between time, language and thought; while working her way through 3D (Digital Distraction Disorder), at night, in the desert, delighting in melody and improvisation. Gretta will perform solo, and with bassist Matt Deason, and clarinetist Beth Fleenor. The evening will also include a short set of music by Matt Deason.
Each month, Nonsequitur and a community of like-minded organizations and artists present ten concerts of adventurous and experimental music in the gorgeous Chapel Performance Space at the Good Shepherd Center (which sits on the traditional homelands of the Duwamish people): contemporary/post-classical composition, free improvisation and the outer limits of jazz, electronic/electroacoustic music, new instruments, phonography, sound art, and other innovative musics.
