Composer Nat Evans performs his new album, What Are Days For. Written over the course of three years, this new album by Nat Evans considers the grief of losing loved ones, relationships with plants, surfing, home, and the light of the west coast.
Fuzzy radios, bass and warm guitar tones drift through field recordings and clouds of synthesizers humming along. Like a surreal baroque dream, a Buchla synthesizer and fretless bass duet give way to washes of pedal steel and a fretless bass solo in conversation with a weather radio. An immersive, ever shifting series of landscapes. Bassist John Teske will join Evans in this performance.
