Trillium String Quartet: Crossing Paths

The Trillium String Quartet strives to program works that reflect the breadth of the artistic communities we have had the privilege to be a part of and influenced by. Using an educator’s lens to demystify the act of musical performance, we curate accessible concert experiences where we share our personal connection to the music that we play.

Crossing Paths is our program containing works written by composers who have crossed paths with us either in meeting or asynchronously. It demonstrates how music written for the living, by the living, can highlight our common ground and give us reasons to connect and understand each other. It features works for string quartet by Caroline Shaw and Jesse Montgomery, who both attended the Kinhaven School where we are now faculty, as well as works by composers with ties to Seattle like Aidan Gold and Gabriella Smith.
